HELENSVILLE'S PROGRESS.
ADDITIONS TO STATION. MANY VISITORS TO PARAKAI. Extensive improvements are being made i to the main Helensville railway station. A large new dining room has been built, and the whole range of offices modernised. The station buildings are now twice their old length and the platform accommodation much increased. The approaches have been heavily metalled and the sid ings and shunting ways duplicated. As an indication of the growing popularity of the hot springs at Parakai it Is estimated that over SCOO visitors regis tered at the boarding houses there during the past yea*. In addition, there was a largA number of casual visitors. Parakai is becoming the spa of Auckland.
