EDENDALE SEWER TENDER®. BALMORAL ROAD CONCRETING. Tbo first meeting of the newly-elected Mount Eden Borough Council wm held last evening, the Mayor, Mr. IS. 11. Potter, presiding. It was announced that the council and the Mount Albert Borough Council would , hold a special meeting to-morrow evening to consider the acceptance of & tender for constructing the main combined Edoa/jalo sewer between the two borough boundaries. The engineer reported that the concrete centra of Bafmtral Road had been satisfactorily completed and waa considered by the inspector to be the beat pavement in tho Auckland district. It was decided to donate £5 3a to the Eden Rugby Football Club. The secretary of the fins brigade wrote complaining of the condition of the fire plugs. At a recent fire, be stated, the nearest ping was broken, and in another case a hydrant was found in one of the plugs. The latter were below the lew! of the ros.d, which meant that ailt flowed into them. It was decided to refer the matter to the Fire Brigades Committee,
