ARAPUNI FATALITY.

EMPLOYEE ELECTROCUTED. AWARD OF £175 TO MOTHER. A claim by Hiraina Mutn, of Rotorna (Mr. O'Regan, instructed by Mr. Sullivan), against Si" W. O. Armstrong, Whitworth and Company, Limited (Mr. West), for £750 compensation and £l7 funeral expenses in respect to the death of her son, was heard by the Arbitration Court yesterday. Deceased was electrocuted while employed bv the company at Arapuni onFebruary 24, 1926. Claimant said she had been totally dependent upon him. Under examination, she admitted possessing a small income from land rents and said her living expenses at a pah were low. Mr. West admitted some compensation was payable and argued merely on the point of the amount due. The Court gave judgment for £175 with costs £lO 10s.
