CHURCH MEETINGS.

ST. BARNABAS', MOUNT EDEN. The annual meeting of parishioners of St. Barnabas' Church, Mount Eden, was held last week, the vicar, the Rev. E. E. Bamford, presiding over a good attendance. The report of the vestry stated the past year had been satisfactory, marked by progress and development in practically all departments of church life. Several new organisations had been established, including a Girl Guide Company, and a branch of the Mothers' Union. A sanctuary fund and a sick and needy fund had also been formed. The financial year had ended with a credit balance of £96 in the general account, while £81 had been contributed to the various diocesan social institutions and £179 to missions. This year the parish would celebrate the 80th anniversary of the dedication of St. Barnabas' Church by Bishop Selwyn on its old site on the now-demolished St. Barnabas' Point, Parnell, and also the fiftieth anniversary of the holding of the first service in Mount Eden, and the removal of the old church to its present site.
