RETURNED SOLDIERS.

MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. The executive of the Returned Soldiers' Association met last evening, Mr. S. Austin Carr presiding. Indignation was expressed at the action of the Hospital Board in not replying to the association's inquiries as to how the donation of £ls made by the organiser of a Sunday concert in December last had been expended. The Anzac Day sub-committee reported that arrangements were well in hand for Anzac Day. The secretary reported that the management of the Strand Theatre had offered to put on a special picture on the evening of Poppy Day. and had very kindly offered to give a percentage of the receipts to swell the Poppy Day funds. It was decided to thank the management.
