CHOICE OF CANDIDATES. Ten candidates have been nominated for the lour city seats on the Auckland Harbour Board, the candidates including all the retiring members. The names are:— T. Bloodworth*, L. G. L. Brett. , G. R. Hutchinson, P.O. E. W. Inder*, P.C. J. B. Johnston*, P.C. 0. Mcßrine, L. C. S. Morris, L. W. H. Murray*. H. Turner, P.C. R. F. Way, L. Mr. T. B. Clay was returned unopposed for the combined district of Mount Eden and Mount Albferfc. Mr. M. H. Wvnyard was returned unopposed for the district comprising Onehunga, One Tree Hill, Mount Wellington and Tamaki. THE HOSPITAL BOARD. SIXTEEN CANDIDATES OFFER. For the five citv vacancies on the Auckland Hospital Board 16 candidates have offered their services, including all the retiring members. The candidates aro: R. F. Barter, L. R. Darlow J. Dempsey*, P.C. A. Eccles Mrs. E. A. Kidd*, F.C. G. Knight* ,T. R. Lundon Mrs. I. McCready, L. C. S. Morris, L. Mrs. E. E. Nifcol J. Purtell, L. M. J. Savage, L. S. Takle, P.C. W. A. Thompson*, P.L. W. Wallace*, P.C. S. Zobel The candidatures of Messrs. Darlow and Takle are supported by the United Friendly Societies. Messrs. E. H. Potter and J. Rowo, retiring representatives of the combined districts of Avondale, Mount Albert, Mount Eden, Newmarket, Onehunga, Ellerslie and New Lynn, were returned yesterday unopposed. Mr. W. K. Hovvitt was also returned unopposed for the combined district of Birkenhead, Devonport, Northcote and Takapuna. CONTESTS IN COUNTRY. PUKEKOHE NOMINATIONS. The following nominations have been roceived for the local body elections in the Auckland Province. The candidates at Pukekohe will be as follows: Mayoralty.—Messrs. John Routly, C. K. Lavvrie and John Patterson. Mr. Routly is the sitting Mayor. Borough Council (eight seats). —Messrs. G. H. Armstrong, J. Bellhouse*, A. F. Brown, C. Bonner, J. J. Coady, W. Macpherson, F. J. Morrow, G. T. Parvin, J. P. Rae, W. J. Short, F. W. Stembridge, H. J. Wily. Pukekohe Represenatives on the Franklin Power Board (two seats). —Messrs. G. H. Armstrong, A. F. Brown, C. K. Lawrie, G. T. Parvin and J. Patterson. Representative of Combined District of Manukau and Franklin on the Auckland Harbour Board.—Mr. H. R. Mackenzie, returned unopposed. DARGAVILLE. Mr. T. A. Jones, the present Mayor, has been returned unopposed.

Hospital Board. —Four nominations for three vacancies. r AERO A. Mayoralty.—Mr. W. Marshall was reelected unopposed. Borough Council.—Messrs. P. E. Brennan, E. Edwards, F. E. Flatt, J. W. Silcock, J. Pindor, H. J. Hare, E. A. Porritt, W. Turner and R. B. Dunlop. Eight aro required. Thames Valley Power Board.—Mr. F.E. Flatt was returned unopposed. Thames Hospital Board.—Mr. P. E. Brennan, returned unopposed. Thames Harbour Board.—Mr. Edwin Edwards, returned unopposed.
