THE FAIRY TALE BOOK.

Every time I take a look At my fairy picture-book, Elves and goblins suddenly Hurry out to play with utel Round they dance, on nimble feet, Softly singing carols sweet; Silver wings wave to and fro, As tliey fleetly come and go. Fairyland is far away, I can go there every day With my book—one peep inside Opens fairy gateways wide. Gnome and pixy, puck and sprite, Flutter by in rays pf light, Troop across the nursery floor Through my book's enchanted door. When my nodding sleepy-head Tells me that it's time for bed, Then I shut the book, and lo! All the fairies hcapeward go. Back between the leaved they hie, There secure and Bafe they lie; Till I take another look At my fairy picture-book! —R.M.
