CROQUET.
ONEHUNGA "AT HOME,," A perfect afternoon favoured the Onehunga Croquet Club yesterday, when an "At Home" was given by "the junior members of the club to their fellow-mem-bers who had taken part in the season's senior grade inter-club competitions. The visitors included representatives of most of the senior grade clubs in the city and suburbs, the Auckland Croquet Association being represented by the president, Mrs. C. W. Garrard, and the secretary, Mrs. Keesing. Mrs. Garrard presented to tho club the association banner, and in highly complimentary terms congratulated them on winning the pennant for the seventh year in succession. The president of the club, Mrs. Schnauer. accepted the banner and presented Mrs. Garrard with a handsome bouquet. The members of the Onehuncra Bowling Club gave up the bowling green to the croquet club for the afternoon's function* in addition to the ordinary croquet lawns. Progressive croquet was played. The prize-winners were:—First, Mrs. Warin; second, Mrs. Coutts: third. Mrs. Brabant.
