Four Bengali cyclists who left Calcutta some weeks ago 011 a tour of the world have reached Karachi after experiencing a terrible time crossing the Sind desert, north of the Arabian Gulf. Owing to the slippery nature of the shifting sand it was impossible to ride or wheel their bicycles, and they therefore walked 200 miles by night, carrying their bicycles over their shoulders.
