VALUE OF TOURISTS.

ATTRACTIONS IN BRITAIN. 50,000 FROM ANTIPODES. A. and N.Z. LONDON, Feb. 15. Mr. Sydney Pasca.il, speaking at a Botarian luncheon, said the "Come to Britain" mveoment filled a too-long-vacant place in the national life, as it enabled people from the Dominions and from America to know Britain better. He said it had been estimated that last year there were 25.000 visitors to Britain from Australia and New Zealand, who travelled first-class, and who spent £SOO each, and 25,000 who came in the second class and spent £IOO each. This made a total of £10.000,000, which was an amount of business not to be sneezed at even in these capacious days.
