SERIES OF BURGLARIES.
FOUR CASES AT WA! MATE, VISITS PAID TO TWO CHURCHES. [Bit TELEGRAPH, —I'UEHS ASSOCIATION.] WAIMATE. Wednesday. Four burglaries occurred during th* present week. Kriox Church was entered on Sunday night by the forcing of a door, and property valued at £2O was taken, there being no money on the premises. The Methodist Church was entered th« same night by means of an unfastened window,, but disappointment awaited th» thieves as far as money was concerned and there were no movable articles of value. During Tuesday night the howling pavilion was entered by an unfasten"! window and the tennis pavilion by •" unfastened door. Crockery, tablecloths, etc., valued in all at £l2, were taken.
