TRIBUTE BY PRESSMEN, [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORIIESPON DENT. ] WELLINGTON. Wednejday. Reference to the death of Sir Henry Brett was mado at the meeting of the Empire Press Union to-day. The chairman, Sir George Fenwick, said ' his friendship with the deceased pressman covered nearly half a century. Mr. 11. Horton, of Auckland, who proposed that a message of condolence should bo sent to Lady Brett and family, said they must all bo' feeling sadder ait the passing of a. pioneer journalist of the Dominion. Tho motion was carried in silence, the delegates standing.
