WAIUKU TOWN BOARD.
PROPOSED IMPROVEMENTS. [BY TELEGRArH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] WAIUKU, Tuesday. The Waiuku Town Board met last cveiling, the chairman, Mr. J. Walters, presiding. The resignation of Mi\ W. Mcl Swan from the Town Board was received, and the secretary of the Franklin Power Board advised that Mr. McEwan 1 ad resigned his position of ,Waiuku representive on that body. Mr. W. L. West was appointed to succeed Mr. McEwan on the Power Board and the town clerk, Mr. H. C. Hay, was .deputed to take the necessary steps to fill the vacancy on tho Town Board. The finance committee was deputed to meet on Wednesday and prepare th» water-supply and sewerage proposals tor submission to a poll of the ratepayers. It was decided to hold a special meeting of the board next week to consider a roads improvement scheme for the town. The valuation of tho board's street lighting system was received from the special valuation sub-committee and the clerk was instructed to refer the figures to the Franklin Power Boafd,
