DEPUTATION TO COUNCIL.

A deputation from the Beach Haven Progressive League, consisting of Messrs. G. Solomon, F. A. Gilpin and R. Goldsbcrry, waited on the Birkenhead Borough Council last evening.

Various matters were brought forward, including the provision of a water channel at Tai Crescent, a polliog-bootb at the Birkdale Hall at the municipal. elections } the top-dressing with shell of the wharf approach ..from the top of .the hili; restriction of the speed of redtor-cycies when negotiating the wharf approach,, the Isgntirig of the wharf, care of the reserve,, convenience! and bathing shedi, *nd an improved water service to consumers .in Rangatsra Road. -The Mayor, Mr. E G. Skeatcs, said the various matters would be carefully considered and everything that could reasosably be conceded would be done.
