MOUNT ROSKILL AFFAIRS.
ELECTRIC RETICULATION. The Mount Roskill Road Board met last evening, the chairman, Mr. S. Scar borough, presiding. A deputation will wait on the genera) manager of the Auckland Electric-Power Board to urge extension of the reticola tion to Arkeil Road, May Road and other roads in th« district not yet served.
The Auckland City Council forwarded £57, the board's share- of heavy traffic fees for the quarter ended December 3.1 The A von dale Borough Council adviwl that it could not contribute during Use present financial year the sain of £llO. representing half the cost of metalling Boundary Road. The Auckland Harbour Board submitted, a scheme for improving the septic tank outflow into Matiukau Harbour, f'he work will be carried out in accordance with the details reported by Mr, J. I) Whitmore, engineer to the Road Board. The board's staff is to be paid double rates while employed on this work. Messrs. Scarborough and Tozer were appointed to represent the board on tiw Mount Rosfcill Fire Board.
Daring the past fortnight 14 building permits were mued, th»' total estimated value being £6565. The permits in eluded a seaside cottage ana six other dwellings. There are 50 buildings srj ■cour.se of. erection
