Pleasure .expressed by Mr. Justice Adams at the smailness of -the calendar at the Supreme Court session in Christ' church to-day was qualified by regret at the increasing frequency of fatal motor accidents. Referring to the fact that four out of the five accused were charged with offences arising out of street accidents, His Honor said: "The cases are of a class which for some time past has bee« causing anxiety on account of the toll o; human life through the negligent driving of motor-cars and fast-moving vehicles on our streets and mads. "These are regrettable accidents, but apart altogether from the criminality or otherwise of them, as 1 have already sit id. it is alarming that such accioeuts are occurring so frequently."
