CLAY-BIRD SHOOTING.
GOOD SPORT AT THAMES. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] THAMES, Monday. The Thames Rod and Gun Club held its weekly shoot on Saturday afternoon. The attendance was large and the shooting was of a high standard. Results were as follow : No. 1, 6 Birds, Sweepstake.—E. Thornton and W. R. Smith each shot the possible and divided the stake. No. 2, 10 Birds, C.A.C. Cup.—L. Sinclair, W. R. Smith and S. Sparke each shot the possible. In the shoot-off W. R. Smith dropped out on the eleventh bird, L. Sinclair on the twentieth, and left S. Sparko to kill his twentieth bird and win. No. 3, 6 birds, S. Miller's Trophy.—E. Thornton, 1; G. Shaw, 2; S.'' Sparke, 3. No. 4, 6 birds shoot, Trophy.—A. Brien, W. Sparke, W. R. Smith, and G. Shaw each shot the possible. The shoot-oi! was one of the best seen on the ground. A Brien won on his twenty-seventh bird, and W. Sparkes was second with 26 kills. No. 5, 6 birds, double rises.—E. Thornton, 1; S. Sparke, 2; Dr. Liggins, 3. No. 6, 6 birds, sweepstake.—S. Sparke and E. Thornton each Bhot the possible, and after shooting 12 birds each decided to divide the stake. \
