BRIEF VISIT TO AUCKLAND, , The Prime Minister of Australia, Mr. & M. Bruce, who has been attending >h« Imperial Conference, arrived by the Niagara from Vancouver yesterday, accompanied by Mrs, Bruce. Thw wet* met on arrival by the Hem. J. A. Yoaagt Minister of Health, and welcomed on behalf of the New Zealand Government. They were later met by the Mayor, M?« G. Baildon, and the town clerk, 51 r. 3. Si* Brigham, on behalf of the citizens. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce were takers on '( motor tour of the city and suburbs,. sa company with Mr. Young and the Mayor. Tho visitors greatly admired the EDers!;* racecourse and the show. of. begomas m the greenhouses, arid later were tench >«• terested in the magnitude and arrange-" mcnts of the Auckland Trotting C3«b at Epsom. After-a run through Cots* - *-* Park the visitors'wer® taken to the *><? of Mount Eden, by which time the tunhad cleared and they had a view of the city and its surrounding*-' Mr, Brtfce then attended the we*ldv luncheon of the Auckland Eotary Csub, -at which he gave as address.
