GENERAL SMUTS SAILED. The trairp steamer General Smuts, which discharged Australian hardwood at Auckland and then Anchored in the for nine days awaiting orders, sailed for Sydney at an early hour yesterday morning. THE CANADIAN PLANTER. The Canadian Planter is to sail this afternoon for Wellington. Lyttelton, Timaru and Dunedin- to complete discharging cargo from Eastern Canada and to load for New York, Boston and Halifax. FISHERMAN SAILS TO-DAY. Mr. Zane Grey's auxiliary schooner yacht Fisherman is to leave at eleven o'clock this morning for Russell. She is berthed at Queen's Wharf. ULIMAROA LEAVES SYDNEY. The Huddart-Parker steamer Ulimarea was despatched from Sydney for Auckland at half-past twelve yesterday afternoon with 360 passengers, as well as mails and cargo. She is due about midday on Tuesday. R.M.S. TAHITI SAILED. After loading cargo and mails and emmarking passengers at Auckland the Royal Mail liner Tahiti, which is relieving the Aorangi for one voyage, sailed last evening for Suva, Honolulu and Vancouver. She is due at Vancouver on February 6. ATHENIC'S DEPARTURE. L. D. Nathan and Company, Limited," advise that the departure of the Shaw. Savill and Albion liner Athenic from Wellington with passengers, mail and cargo for Southampton and Lo.ndon has been postponed until daybreak on Saturday, January 29, instead of January 28. IRIS RETURNS TO-MORROW. The Pacific Cable Board's steamer Iris, after repairing cable iu Bass Straits, is due at Auckland at eleven o'clock to-mor-row morning, according to her wireless advice. She will berth at her usual moorings at Devonport. DEVON AND NORTHUMBERLAND. The Federal line steamers Devon and Northumberland are to sail this afternoon, the Devon for Lyttelton, Wellington and Napier to complete loading for New York, Boston, Halifax and West of England portr., and the Northumberland for Napier, Wellington, Lyttelton and Port Chalmers, to complete unloading general merchandise from West of England ports.
THE TANKER SCOPAS. The Dutch tanker Scopas has reported by .wirelesa than she will reach Auckland from Singapore at five o'clock this evening. The vessel will berth at Western Wharf to pump bulk oil into the British Imperial Oil Company's tanks at Freeman's Bay. Sho will afterwards go to Wellington and Timaru to complete discharge. MARAMA FOR SYDNEY. Owing to the large amount of cargo to be handled the Union Company's intercolonial steamer Marama did not sail for Sydney until a very late hour last night. The vessel will make another trip to Auckland. She is to leave Sydney next Friday and is due back at this port on February 1. PAKEHA TO LOAD AT AUCKLAND. The Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Pakeha is scheduled to reach Auckland from Liverpool next Friday, with nearly 700 immigrants for New Zealand and general merchandise from West of England ports for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. L. D. Nathan and Company, Ltd., the local agents, have been advised that after completion of discharge in the South the vessel will return to Auckland at the end of February and will remain here until March 9, loading New Zealand produce for London. TUTANEKAI IN PORT. .The Government steamer Tut&nekai arrived yesterday afternoon from East Coast lighthouses and berthed at Central Wharf. The weather was fine on the coast, but rough seas at the different places of call delayed the work of landing stores and material. The vessel will leave early on Monday morning- to attend the buoys and beacons in the Hauraki Gulf. She will return to Auckland on Monday night and after loading stores aind. material for Northern and West Coast lighthouses will sail for the Niirth at sis o'clock on Wednesday rooming, MAKO AND AWAHOU. The Richardson steamer Mako is due from Hick's Bay at eight o'clock this morning. After landing 800 sheep at Orakei the vessel will berth .it King's Wharf to load for all . East Coast bays except Tokomaru Bay. She is to sail at five o'clock : this evening. From Tologa Bay the Mako -will return to Auckland via Hick's, where she will load another cargo of sheep. The Awahou was to leave Gisborne yesterday and is to call at Lottin Point this morning to load sheep for Orakei. She is due at Auckland to-morrow evening and _after landing the sheen she will berth at King's Wharf to load for the coast. She is to sail on Tuesdav afternoon for Tokomaru Bay and Gisborne.
, CARGO FROM AUSTRALIA. The Waipori arrived yesterday afternoon from Editliburg, Adelaide and Melbourne, via Southern ports, and berthed Prince's Wharf. She will complete discharge at Portland and will load there for Wellington and Lyttelton. The Poolta was to leave Wellington at ten o'clock Inst night for Auckland direct, in continuation of her journey from Clarence River, Port Stephens and Newcastle. She will not call at Picton.as was intended, and is due at this port on Monday morning. The Kaiwarra was to leave Wellington last night for Napier and Auckland to complete unloading general caTgo from Melbourne. She is duo at this port early nest week. The Kaikorai was despatched from Geelong on Thursday with a largo amount of general cargo for discharge at Auckland. She is due next Thursday.
