STRONG IN FINANCE.
NO MORE FOREIGN LOANS. ISSUES FOR LOCAL MARKET. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 7.5 p m.) LONDON. Jail. 21. The Berlin correspondent of the Morning Post says the financial position of Germany is regarded as sufficiently strong for the country to dispense with foreign loans and resort to home borrowing. The State of Baden is issuing a 6 per cent, internal loan for about £1,650,000. Stuttgart has obtained authority to issue a loan of from £750,000 to £1,000,000. The firm of Krupps is issuing a loan for £3,000,000. The correspondent says that lip to the middle of December Germany had borrowed . from foreign countries, mainly from the United States, England and Holland, about £193,600,000.
