WORKER'S NARROW ESCAPE. HANDS SEVERELY BURNED. [by telegraph.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.j PAF.ROA, Friclay. While working on a transformer at Paeroa, a Thames Valley Electric-Power Board employee, C. J, Twigg, had a narrow escape from death by electrocution. Mr. Twigg had occasion to alter a timeswitch, and in doing so took off the leads. He was in the act of pushing them to one side when his hands tame into contact with 400-volt lines. He was knocked down, but was quickly released from his perilous position by a workmate. Mr. Twigg was severely burned on both hands, and will be unable to work for several weeks.
