TATTERSFIELD, LIMITED.
SICK AND ACCIDENT FUND. The following officers were elected at the annual,meeting of the sick and accident fund of the workers of the firm of Tattevsfield, Limited President, Mr. J. W. Tattersficld; vice-presidents, Messrs. T. B. Clay and D. Dunn; secretary, Mr. H. Carroll; auditors, Messrs. T. Marshall and D. Ewen. A very successful social and dance was held subsequently in the Foresters' Hall, Edinburgh Street. During the evening, Mr. T. B. Clay presented Mr. H. Dixon, on behalf of the staff, with a beautiful silver cup, which is to bo competed for yearly at the firm's annual picnic. This cup was donated by Mr. Clay. As a token of respect from the workers, Miss K. Kane, forewoman of the textile department, handed Mr. Clay a case of pipes suitably inscribed. Included in the programme was a display by the girls who competed at 'the recent Inter-house Sports. Mr. Tattersfield said he should like to see the sports given every encouragement and the firm represented by a class of at least 40 girls. It has been decided to hold the firm's annual picnic on Saturday, February 5.
