NICARAGUAN AFFAIRS.
THE OPPOSING PARTIES. CENSORSHIP GIVES OFFENCE. A. and N.Z. WASHINGTON. Dec. 30, Admiral Latimer, commanding the United States forces in Nicaragua, to-day notified the State Department (which had previously announced that it had uo knowledge of any censorship there) that all wireless censorship in the neutral zone, had been removed.
The message said the censorship had been established for the purpose of maintaining neutrality in the zone by preventing the sending of military instructions or information by either side. Dr. Juan Sacasa, President of the Liberal Government, which has been established at Puerto C&bezas, has sent a message to the Associated Press asserting that the declaration of a neutral zone for the protection of foreign interests was oniy a pretence. The real motive was the protection of the Conservative Government and the President of Managua, Dr. Diaz. Dr. Sacasa said all his movements had been impeded by American officers imposing a censorship, and that his message would be subjected to censorship.
