SPIRIT LAMP EXPLODES
- - FACE SEVERELY BURNED. SPECTACLES SAVE EYESIGHT. [BV TELEGBAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] TE AWAMUTU, Tuenday. While using a spirit lamp in a bootmaking establishment at To Awamutu today an employee named Taylor was severely burned about the face through the lamp eroding. Had he not been wearing spectacles it is probable that liis eyesight would have been destroyed. The sufferer is progressing favourably.
