CHILDREN'S COMPETITIONS

PRIZE-WINMIMG ENTRIEB. THE CHRISTMAS SUPPLEMENT. The work of judging the entries for the Herald children's competitions has been completed, and the names of the prizewinners, together with the judge's commerits, will be published in Friday's issue. The prize stories, letters and poems, and winning essays in the special competition for the children of the Institute for the Blind, Princess Mary and King George Hospital at Rotorua, will bet published on the children's page of the Christmas supplement. Practically the whole page will bo filled with the children's own work. An interesting feature of tho supplement will be the painting competitions for the children, a "Bib and Bub" cartoon, and a special Christmas cartoon by T.L. having been included in the illustrations.
