TOUR OF MR. COATES.

THE VISIT TO IRELAND. AN ENJOYABLE EXPERIENCE. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 9.30 p.m.) LONDON. Dec. 15. The Prime Minister of New Zealand, Mr J. G. Coates, describes his visit to Ireland last week as most enjoyable. On Friday he stayed at Vice-Regal Lodge, Dublin. Ho was the gues,t at lunch of Mr. Desmond Fitzgerald, Minister of External Affairs, and in the afternoon the honorary degree of Doctor of Laws was conferred on him by Trinity College, the students cheering him through the grounds. Later, Mr. and Mrs. Coates were the guests of Mr. W. T. Cosgrave, Prime Minister of the Irish Free State. On Saturday the party visited Belfast, where they met the Prime Minister of Northern Ireland, Sir James Craig. Here Mr. Coates met an uncle, Mr. William Coates. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Coates, accompanied by Sir James Craig, visited Londonderry, returning to Belfast to attend a dinner party in the evening. Mrs. Coates, who has been unwell, has completely, recovered.
