NEW BISHOP'S DUTIES.
PASTORAL WORK COMMENCED CEREMONIES OF CONFIRMATION. [BY TELEGRAPH. "OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] HAMILTON, Thursday. Since Bishop Cherrington hiis been at Hamilton he has been busily engaged in pastoral duties. On Tuesday he confirmed 12 candidates at All. Hallows Chapel at Southwell School'., while this evening at St. George's Church,, Frankton, 54 candidates were presented and received the rights of confirmation. There were over 350 people in the congregation and the bishop's address on. the subject of confirmation and holy communion was listened to with keen interest,.
