SIR HUGH DENISON'S HOPES. INTEREST AROUSED IN AMERICA. < Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. i (.Reed 8.35 p.m.) \ NEW YORK, Dec 3 Sir Hugh Denison, Australian Comnus snoner to the United States, speaking to day before the New iTork State Cham , ber of Commerce. <iaid:—"The same . diplomatic relations as those which now rule between America and other coun , tries will in the not distant future prob i ablv exist between my ' country and , yours." This is interpreted as meaning that , Australia will shortly appoint tier own Minister Plenipotentiary to the United States. The statement has aroused much interest here.. It is felt that while such a.n\ envoy would be enthusiastically received, there is little likelihood that the United States reciprocate oy 'ndmg a Minister to represent her ia Australia. Official American circles believe that the present Consular representatives are sufficient to handle American interests in Australia. ' (
