AUCKLAND STOCK EXCHANGE. THE WEEK'S TRANSACTIONS. A fair amount of business was done on the Auckland sharemarket yesterday. The market; closed without any sales being made in Government securities, for which the inquiry was maintained. In banks Naticmals of Australasia were done at £lB Is (id, and New South Wales at £44 8s 6d. New Zealands were wanted at 60s, sellers 60s 6d. In insurance New Zealands sold at 38s. South British were nearer an siccommodation at 56s 3d and 55s 9d. In mining a considerable number of sales of Moanataiari, contributing, were made at the first call at 15s 7d to 5s 2d.. The market opened at 5a 3d and 5s 2d and recovered to 5s 4d and 5s 3d after being down to 5s Id and 4s lid at mid-day. Following is a summary of transactions since Friday of last week. In the second column is given the return, based on the last dividend, from investment at the quoted price. In the case of Government and other redeemable securities, the return includes redemption.
