WEDDINGS.
A wedding of interest took place on Wednesday afternoon at the Te Awamutu Presbyterian Church when Miss Edna Gwendoline Harris, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. Harris, Pokura, was married to Mr. Geoffrey Ksrkham Bowden, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Bowden, of 'le Awamuftu. The bride wore a frock of crepe de chine, with silver lace insertion, and the customary orange blossoms and embroidered veil. There were two bridesmaids, the Misses Hazel Clements and Elsie Jones and three flower girls, the Misses Stella McConkey, Bertha Bowden and Agnes Hay They wore apricot green, pink and blue crepe do china respectively. Mr. Gordon Walker, of Orakau, attended as best man, and Mr. Richard Wenliam carried oat the duties of groomsman.
A very pretty wedding was solemnised at the Pitt Street Methodist Church, on Saturday evening, November 13, when lone Slay, fourth daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Moor, of Edendale, was married to Kenneth Wharton, second son of Mrs. L. Simpson, Bayswater. The service was conducted by the Rev. L. B, Dalby. The bride, who wa3 given away by her father wore a sown of pale pink crepe de chine and gnipuire lace, and carried a bouquet of Christmas lilies, white carnations and asparagus fern The veil, which formed the train, was becomingly arranged in plafte with sprays of orange blossom and was embroidered with silver. Miss Viola Moor, sister of the bride, as brides maid, wore a frock of sunset silk w' guipuiire lace overdress,, and carrief a honqnet of roses and carnations to ma ten The bridegroom sras attended iy - brother, Mr. Donald M, Firaser, as raan. ...
