FLIGHT FROM LINER.
COBHAM'S PROJECT FAILS.
CRAFT BUFFETED BY SEA. A. and N.Z. NEW YORK. Nov. 25. The noted airman, Sir Alan Cobham, who arrived at New York on the liner Homeric, had with him a small aeroplane, with which he proposed to fly from the deck of the Homeric to land in the city The project, however, had to be abandoned. The machine was launched from the ship, but it was buffeted by the sea and refused to start. Eventually it was towed ashore where it will be examined.
