bullet wounds in bodies. a. and N.Z. SYDNEY. Nov. 20. Further details have been received of the shocking, tragedy at Te.nlerfie.ld, 314 miles north of Sydney, where the dead bodies of Constable Milton, his wife and three children were found in the debris remaining after their cottage was destroyed by fire. The police have been notified from Tenterfield that bullet wounds are discernible in the heads of all the five victims. A service revolver was found lying beside Milton's charred remains. The fire occurred an hour after Milton had gone off duty at (he Tenterfield police station. Milton's niece, who was spending a holiday with the family, was the only occupant of the household to escape.
When she awoke the flames were too advanced to permit her entering the house. She called in vain to the family to come outsi'de.
