AN OARSMAN'S ILL-LUCK.
NEEDLE BREAKS OFF SHORT
PORTION EMBEDDED IN FINGER
Through running a needle into his finger at Aramoho recently a young man named D. Mill, stroke of the Aramoho Boat Club's senior four, is now in the Wanganui Hospital.
The needle had been struck into a wall, and Milk raising his arm, ran the needle through one of his fingers. Subsequently, when a friend tiied to pull it out, the shaft snapped, leaving part of the steel embedded in the flesh. Suffering acute pain the man was placed under the X-rays at the hospital, but no trace of the needle could be found, though it is known to be still in the< finger.
Mill is meanwhile in hospital, under treatment, ant! his indisposition has disarranged the training operations of his crew which was preparing for the regatta season. His brother, W. Mill, met with an accident some months ago, when he tost part of one ham! through it being caught in the cogs of a concrete mixer.
