CYCLIST FATALLY HURT.
COLLISION WITH A CAR. [BE TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] CHRISTCHURCH, Thursday. The injuries Charles Nelson, a cyclist, received in a collision with a motor-car late yesterday afternoon were so severe that he died in the Christchurch Hospital at three o'clock this morning. Mr. Nelson was a married man, aged 60 years, who resided in St. Asaph Street. The deceased was riding his cycle along Victoria Street soon after five o'clock last evening whan he came into collision with a motor-car driven by Mr. A. H. Murray. Mr. Nelson was thrown from his machine and crushed by the car. An examination at the hospital showed that his left leg was broken and that other injuries had been inflicted and that he was suffering from severe shock.
