royal show competition.

In the shop window display competition held in conjunction with the Royal Show last week first prize in the bakers' class was awarded to Mr. A. J. Arbon, of 30, Dominion Road. The second and third prizes went to John Buchanan, Queen Street, and Mr. W. G. Prinn respectively. The additional awards in tho confectionery class, won by Smeeton s, Ltd., are Mr. N. Maberly, of Newmarket, second, and Miss A. L. Inglis, 130, Queen Stfeet, third.
