TAKAPUNA CLUB EVENTS

CRUISING RACE TO WAIHEKE

The Takapuna Boating Club will hold a cruising race to Awaroa Bay, Waiheke, tomorrow afternoon for yachts and launches, and also harbour races for 14ft. and 12ft. 6in. classes. The course for the cruising race for both yachts and launches is from starting line between the ferry steamer Britannia moored off Shoal Bay, and mark moored south, thence direct to Awaroa Bay, observing the usual fairway marks. Following aio the entries and handicaps:— Classes M.V. and S., to start at 2.30 p.m. —Surprise, on the wind, scr; off, scr: Mawhiti, scr; and scr; Manene, scr and scr; Drone, 3m; and 2m; Scud, 15m and 10m; Lancia, 20m and 15m; Muru, 20m and 15m: Solace, 20m and 17m. Classes H.L. and i 1)"., to start at 2.40 p.m. —Waitere. on wind, scr, off wind scr; Starlight, scr and lm; Spray, 6m and 2m; Esmin, 8m and 3m: Awatere, 10m and 4m; Marere, 18m and 10m; Ngaru 11., 17m And 9m: Forest Gold. 19m and 9m; Rakoa, 19im and 9m; Huia, 20m and 9Jm; Winifred, 22m and 9m. Classes A.B.C. and E., to start_ at 2.50 £.m. —Prize, on wind, scr, off wind ser; little Jim, 12m and 7ni; Rangi, 19m and 9m; Wairiki. 19m and 9m; Alesa. 30m and 15m; Naiac. 40m and 20m: Mahoo, 111 and 40m; Vanora, lh 10m and 40m.

Launches, to start at 3.10 p.m.—Entries: Kathryn R., Wainui and Esther G. The handicaps will be daclared to-day. The course for the harbour races is from the ferry steamer Britannia and mark moored south, thence round Red Light Beacon, off Bayswater, thence round the buoy off the Watchman, thence round the Rona buoy, finishing south side of flagship. The 14ft. classes will proceed round the course twice, and the Z class once _ only. Following are the entries and handicaps:—

Classes T. X. and Y., to start at 3.20 p.m.—Cupid, scr; Sea Prince, scr; Nyria, scr; Ngaio, lm; Resolute. 3m; Mispah, Sm: S'ea Dawn, Bm. Class Z., to start at 3.30 p.m.—Kitty, scr; Comet, 2m; Frolic, 2m; Edna, 2m.

In the evening a social and dance will be held at Awaroa Bay,
