OPERA BY WIRELESS.
BROADCASTING SCHEME. BRITISH NATIONAL COMPANY. Suh. LONDON. Nov. 18. In view of the recent controversy concerning the effect of broadcasting upon the concert world, interest is attached to the announcement that the now Broad casting Corporation will consider a proposal to subsidise a British National Opera Company. In return the latter will agree to broadcast each week excerpts from grand opera and opera. A; official states that the company could not exist without a subsidy.
