TIDE OF UNPOPULARITY. ADVERTISING AS REMEDYA. and N.Z. SYDNEY. Nov. 19 Mr. J. J. Staples, who represented New Zealand at the recent convention of the Association of Advertising Clubs of the World in Philadelphia arrived at Sydney to-day en route to Christchurch. He said Americans took advertising very seriously, and were applying it to the amelioration ot ail sorts nf conditions, as well as to commercial purposes. It was decided by the convention to seek the assistanre of prominent advertising men in evolving some scheme to stem the tide of unpopularity of Americans abroad.
