MAN WOUNDED IN FACE. ATTEMPTED MURDER CHARGE. [by telegraph.—press association.] STRATFORD. Monday. In the Police Court to-day Stanley Emerson Carlyie Taylor was remanded for a week on a charge of the attempted murder of James Farrelly. It is alleged that Farrelly went to Taylor's house, near Whangamomona, yesteiday, and that, following an altercation, a shotgun was fired by Taylor, Farrelly was badly wounded in the face and is now in hospital in an unconscious condition. Bail was refused.
