TAURANGA NEWS.
A YACHT FROM AUCKLAND. [BY TELEGB.AFH. —OWU CORRESPONDENT. ] TAURANGA. Monday. The yacht Vanitie, which has been purchased by Mr. C. Hartley (Tauranga) from Messrs. J. and E. Morris (Parnell), arrived here on Saturday. She left Auckland on November 1 in charge of Mr. Hartley, who had with him Messrs. C. Brown and W. Johnston. The partycalled at. Mercury Island and Mayor Island. The Vanitie, which won the gold cup in the last ocean yacht race from Auckland to Tauranga, is a fine sea boat, and will make a welcome addition to the local fleet. The yacht Janet, which was owned by Mr. Hartley for some years, has been sold to Mr. A. Leslie, jun., who takes a keen interest in yachting.
