AUCKLAND STOCK EXCHANGE. GOOD BUSINESS TRANSACTED. Tho week opened brightly on the Aucfeland sharemarket yesterday and good business was done in several sections. In Government securities Inscribed Stock, the 1929 five per cents., had sale at £99, equal to holders' quotations, which were then withdrawn. Late inquiry was at £9B 10s. Demand for Soldiers' Inscribed was slightly firmer at £IOO 2s 6d, but sellers held for £IOO 10s. In banks Australasias were done at £l4 Is 6d, a decline of Is 6d. More were wanted at £l4, late sutlers £l4 3s. Nationals of Australasia, the contributing issue, sold at £9 ss, a trifle better than the last previous silo. New Zealands closed easier at 59& 9d and 60s 3d. Rights were quoted at 6s 6d and later at 6s sd, buyers advancing to 6s 2d. In insurance Now Zealands sold at the first and second calls at 40s, the current price. More were wanted at 39s 9d, holders asking 40s 6d. Nationals changed hands at 795, against 80s two weeks ago, More were available at 80s. South British were unchanged at 59s 6d and 60s 6d. In coal WestpoJrts had sale at 38s, the current price, with late inquiry at 37s 6d. In miscellaneous the preference issuo of Electrolytic Zincs changed hands at 37s 3d, against 38s iast week. More were available at the latter figure. A sale of Milno and Choyce debenture stock was recorded at 245, a slight dew line. Tho market closed at 23s 9d and 24s 2d. Saniords were done at 235, more being wanted at 22s 9d, sellers 23s 6d. In mining Alburnias sold at 4s 5d and Moanataiaris at, 2s Id and 2s 2d, Waihis again changed hands at ■ 19s 7d and the market closed at -19s 6d and 20s.
