PROCESSION AT THAMES. RUNNING AND DANCING. [BY TELEGRAPH. — OWN CORRESPONDENT.] THAMES, Tuesday. Labour Day was observed at Thames yesterday with the usual profession and sports. Some of the decorated vehicles showed evidence of much painstaking care on the part of the entrants. The judges regretted the absence of an entry from the primary schools, but complimented the children on the excellent displays in the various other classes. Good business was reported from the well-stocked stalls on the ground, where the regimental band, in addition to leading the procession, played a number of selections. The athletic events were keenly contested. The completed results are as follow: Procession.—Symbolical Trades Display (mining). J. Crosbie; decorated vehicle, F.
