POLICE COURT NEWS.
DRUNKENNESS ON HOLIDAY. " I do not remember anything at all about yesterday after three o'ciock in the afternoon," said Samuel Dale, aged 43, in the Police Court yesterday, when charged with drunkenness in Broadway, Newmarket, and resisting arrest. Constable White said he saw accused ejected from a hotel after six o'clock. He advised the man to go home, but he refused, and became aggressive. He caught witness by the arm, struggled when placed under arrest, and had to be handcuffed. The magistrate, Mr. W. R. McKean, imposed a fine of 10s on the first charge, and £1 on the second. A charge of being disorderly while drunk in Queen Street was preferred against Arthur Case, aged 28. It was stated by Sergeant Calwc.il that accused was staggering about the street, shouting and getting in the way of traffic. A fine of £l, in default 43 hours' imprisonment,, was imposed.
