TO-DAY'S COMPETITIONS.
MEN'S SHAKESPEAREAN" RECITAL. The festival will be continued to-day, national dancing events being held in the L'nity Hail and other items in the Town Hail concert chamber. A particularly strong attraction at the concert chamber should be the Shakespearean recital for men. which commences at 9 a.m. The piece selected is the famous passage from "King Henry V.," commencing "Once tnoro into the breach." At 10.45 a.m. the piano solo contest for those over 18 who have never won a first prize at festivals will commence. This should bo another extremely attractive section, as the performers will be only one class below the champion soloists. In the aftornoon the open mezzosoprano solo and men's sacred songs will be heard. •In the evening the finalists from the day classes will again appear, and in addition a drawing-room entertainment, lasting not, more than 30 minutes will be given by the Rev.
