BUS AS MOURNER.

VEHICLE AT A FUNERAL. MEMORY OF WAR DAYS. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 9.5 p.m.) LONDON. Oct. 12. The bus known as "Old Bill," belonging to the General Omnibus Company, which served with the "Old Contemptibles" in the first days of the Great War, was a mourner at Forest Hill Cemetery, London, when Samuel Downing, who drove the bus at Amiens, was buried. Nine coffin-bearers rode in the bus, which was loaded with wrealhs. The vehicle accompanied the coffin to the graveside.
