An affecting public reconciliation between the ex-Crown Prince Charles of Rumania and his mother Queen Marie took place to-day. Surrounded by her suite tha Queen was leaving the St. Lazare station in. lai is to embark for America when a fair-haired young man pushed through the crowd, seized the Queen's hand and kissed it passionately. The Queen was startled. Then she recognised her son. For a moment Her Majesty hesitated. Then she took the Prince in her arms and embraced him fervently, weeping the while. The people on the platform discreetly withdrew, allowing the reconciliation to bo made complete. It had been understood that the Queen had previously forbidden Charles to visit her. She looked very happy when she left to join the Leviathan. It is understood that the reconciliation does not at present affect the Prince's renunciation of his rights of succession to the Rumanian throne.
