[BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] KUiMETJ, Friday. -The annual meeting of the Kumeu Ratepayers' Association was held this week, Mr. J. A. Lambden presiding. The report stated that achievements during the past year included the organisation of the Auckland-Heiensville Concrete Highway League, representations made by the association regarding blockages in the channel at Harkius' Point, adjustments in local railway fares, t> • opening of the Kumeu station access roa.;, the p revision of a depot for the housing of the riding plant and a house for the Tiding foreman. The provision of a pound at Huapai would be shortly completed. it was decided to request the Post and Telegraph Department to consider the provision of improved post office facilities at Huapai. It was decided that an honorarium of £lO be paid to the secretary for the coming year. A special vote of thanks was passed for his past services. The following officers were elected; — President, Mr. J. A. Lambden; vicepresident, Mr. R. Glasgow; secretary, Mr. S, Hanhuni; treasurer, Mr. G. T. W. Green; auditor, Mr. J. J. Ker; publicity agent, Mr. G. T. W. Green; committee, Messrs. R. Gates, J. H. McKinlay, J. F. Frost, P v . P. Kinlock, R. A. Barnes, "a"' )ane > Haddock and W. Smith.
