NAVAL WEDDING.

Tho sunshine of a bright spring day was a happy augury for the naval wedding at St. Mary's Cathedral, PannO.i, yesterday, when Miss Rona Vaile, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. 11. E. Vaile, Glade Hall, Epsom, was married to Lieutenant A. J. Baker Cresswell, of 11.M.5. Veronica, only son of the !afo' Major A. F. Baker Cress well, and of Mrs. Baker Cress well, of Harehope, Northumberland, England. Great crowds lined lite pavement outside the church where a brilliant gathering assembled in which the glittering gold of naval uniforms was an outstanding feature. Masses of Bowers decorated tho church, shades of pink being the predominating - colour,, Camellias of pink qjad white lined the chancel rails and tho chancel arch was also formed of pink camellias banked with-arum lilies. Posies, Of pink flowers were attached with white ribbons to the ends of tho pews. The ceremony, which was fully choral, was . conducted by Canon Pereiva! James. Tho bride, who entered tho church on the arm of her father,, was a picturesque figure in her gown of white and silver. Tho shortwaisted bodice of silver tissue was cut away from tho shoulders anil the skirt over silver tissue was composed of flounces of tulle edged with silver galon. Her veil of Brussels lcjce which was arranged under a wrcftith of orango blossom formed tho train and was finished with clusters of silver roses and lined with tulle. A sheaf of cyclamen and sweet peas was carried and formed a delightful finish to the bridal toilet. Tho bridesmaids, Miss Marjorie Vaile, Miss Dolly Vaile and Miss Nancy Colbeck, wore' charming frocks of sunset pink taffeta, slightly waisted with full skirts embroidered in blue silk flowersi and sashed toward the back with bouffant bows of hydrangea blue. Their Hats were of pink .crinoline straw, turriec tip at the hack and finished \yitK'clus||w of blue flowers and.pink ribbon streamers, Tho bridesmaids carried bouquets of sweet peas in shades of blue and pink \Vlth maiden hair fern. Little Ethel Mnppiti acted as train-bearer in a /Jp®? frock sashed in blue and a. pinkstraw hat. Lieutenant Campagnac, oi. ! H.M.S. Philomel, acted its boat man, anc Lieu tenant-Commander Bowon, of 11. M.S. Philomel, and Lieutenant Boyle, of H.M.S. Diomcde, were groomsmen. On leaving the church tho bridal couplii passed under an archway formed of thi crossed swords of the officers of 11.M.5, Dunedin, Diomedo, and Philomel; " After the, ceremony a reception waa.hejii at Glade Hall,' Epsom, the residence bride's parents, where the robrtis' : 'Vsrh f attractively decorated with flowers. Tha entrance hall and staircase were clustered with daffodils and cyclamen, and were arranged in this 'various sitting rooms.
