Leaving again at 7 a.m. they arrived back in Auckland at 9 p.m.—record time —with 35 gallons in the tank, having used 29 GALLONS in the 522MILL TRIP, which averages 16 miles to the gallon; 4 miles more to. the gallon than previous trips.
