LOS ANGELES MYSTERY.
_ LADY IN SEASIDE COTTAGE. " it WAS NOT MRS. McPHERSON." LOS ANGELES. Vug. 2. The district attorney, Mr. Asa Keyes, has received an affidavit from Kenneth Ormiston, formerly the radio operator at the Angelus Temple, which, Mr. Keyes agrees clears Mrs. Aimee McPherson from the allegations in respect of Ormiston and the Carmel seaside cottage affair. He states he is willing to drop the whole inquiry as far as Mrs. McPherson is concerned. Ormiston admits freely that he was the so-called George Mclntyre living at Carmel cottagfe during most of the month of Mrs. McPherson's disappearance, but his companion lie names as " Miss X." Ho swears that he left San Francisco on May 19 with this girl. Though the identity of " Miss X " is so far a mystery, Ormiston declares that, if necessary, she will come forward so that Mrs. McPherson may be spared further embarrassment.
